Mindfulness

April Misiewicz, LMSW

Hi, I'm April, a Licensed Master Social Worker dedicated to helping adults navigate life's challenges with compassion, curiosity and care.  I offer individual and couples therapy to adults from all walks of life, and I'm committed to create space, supported and truly seen.

My approach is grounded with empathy and collaboration.  I work with clients and experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties , low self-esteem and feelings of aimless or stagnation.  I also support those who are exploring their identity, seeking more effective coping strategies, or simply trying to make sense of what's next in life.

I draw from an integrative and eclectic framework, blending relational cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) practices. I believe therapy should be tailored to your unique story and that healing starts when we have the space to speak freely without judgement.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Forham University and have provided care in a variety of settings, including private clinics, inpatient substance use programs, community mental health centers, and school-based environments.  These diverse experiences allow me to support clients with a wide range of backgrounds and needs.

Outside of therapy  , I am an animal lover and someone who tries to lead with kindness in everything I do.  I smile not because of life is always perfect, but because I always feel to be grateful for.   My personal philosophy is that everything happens for a reason even when its hard to understand in the moment.

If you're looking for a therapist who is willing to meet you with warmth, honesty and genuine commitment to you well -being. I'd be honored to work with you.
